Excelle Med-Supply Ltd. Acquires BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH with Heuking

An M&A team led by Düsseldorf Partner Dr. Martin Imhof of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advised the Shanghai-based Excelle Med-supply Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH. The transaction was structured in two stages and has now been completed.
BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH, located in Bayreuth, Germany, is specialized in the research, development and production of innovative medical devices made of biomaterials without animal and human components. A further focus is on the coating of implant surfaces. The Bavarian company particularly offers innovative products and solutions for hemostasis, soft tissue substitution and functionalisation of medical surfaces. BioCer relies on cooperation with renowned universities in Germany and abroad.
With the takeover by Excelle Med-supply, BioCer's access to the Chinese market will be strengthened and intensified, which already today contributes significantly to the success of the company.
Excelle Med-supply is specialized in the introduction and distribution of foreign medical products in China. For this purpose Excelle Med-supply has a worldwide network, especially with manufacturers of medical products in Europe and the USA. With the acquisition of BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH, Excelle Med-supply will further expand its presence in the European market.
