Rebecca is part of the Healthcare and Life Sciences and Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail industry groups and helps clients navigate the bumpy road of employment law. She advises on day-to-day issues such as employee handbooks, leave laws, discipline and terminations. Amanda provides practical business advice to companies of all sizes and stages, ranging from start-ups and local family-owned businesses to large multinational corporations. She is a member of the firm’s Natural Resources and Technology industry groups. Jonathan, who is part of the Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail, and Technology industry groups, helps companies and individuals in the technology sector secure valuable IP rights for their innovations. He focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications directed to hardware and software innovations, including embedded systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.

She also regularly advises technology-related trade organizations, providing formation, development and ongoing general counsel services.

With experience in both litigation and transactional settings and a background in computer science, Jonathan helps companies and individuals in the technology sector secure valuable IP rights for their innovations. His broad legal background includes litigating insurance defense cases with a general practice firm, handling both patent prosecution and IP litigation with a regional IP boutique firm in Portland, and negotiating technology-related contracts and advising on IP and procurement-related issues on behalf of the State of Oregon. Jonathan’s varied experience helps him recognize and anticipate issues during prosecution that could arise down the road.
