Hanson Bridgett LLP Ranked as a Top Corporate Philanthropist For 10th Consecutive Year

August, 2021 - San Francisco, California

August 3, 2021 (San Francisco, CA) Hanson Bridgett LLP, a preeminent law firm for all of California, is pleased to announce it has been ranked by The San Francisco Business Times as one of the Bay Area's Top Corporate Philanthropists.

"This award means even more to our firm this year than in previous years because of the hardships endured by our community members throughout the pandemic," said Kristina Lawson, Managing Partner of Hanson Bridgett. "To know that we have made a recognizable impact philanthropically as a firm is a tremendous honor. As a law firm for all of California, it is important for us to do our part caring for all of California too."

In 2020, the firm shifted its charitable and pro bono support to organizations providing relief to communities hit the hardest by the pandemic and those with missions supporting social injustices. Though Hanson Bridgett was already focused on giving to organizations that support minorities and minority-owned businesses, the firm increased its philanthropy toward these efforts. Additionally, the firm matches 100 percent of personal contributions from employees to qualified organizations up to $1,000 per individual. Several employees also elected to utilize the IRS leave-based donation to support communities impacted by the severe California fires.

"A core value of our firm has always been to give back to the communities where we live and work," said Rachel Patterson, Director of Office Operations for Hanson Bridgett. "It is not surprising that we saw an increase in employee cash donations to various charities as well. We are exceptionally proud to receive this ranking, and as a firm, we will continue giving back and supporting our communities.

The firm was first named to the Corporate Philanthropist list in 2011.
