Hanson Bridgett's Managing Partner Named to Corporate Counsel's 2021 Women, Influence and Power in Law List

August, 2021 - San Francisco, California

August 24, 2021 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP, a preeminent law firm for all of California, is pleased to announce that the firm's first female Managing Partner, Kristina Lawson, has been selected as an honoree for Corporate Counsel's 2021 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards. These awards are given to those who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.

Since taking the reins in January, Kristina has appointed the firm's first Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, led Hanson Bridgett's development of an industry-leading  agile workforce strategy, oversaw in-depth,  firm-wide culture study, further expanded the firm's Southern California office, and most recently appointed a Director of Pro Bono and Social Impact. These efforts have been thoughtfully executed with a focus on taking real action in furtherance of the firm's commitment to our communities, adapting to a changing work landscape post-pandemic, and increasing equity accountability for the firm as a whole.

Under her leadership, the firm has also received several notable awards, including being named to the AmLaw 200 list, ranking as one of the Best Law Firms for Women in the U.S., as one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area and as one of the Bay Area's Top Corporate Philanthropists.

"I'm overjoyed to receive this award from Corporate Counsel and be honored amongst my peers in the legal industry. My goal is to lead by example and demonstrate that being a successful law firm goes hand in hand with giving back and having a people-first mentality. I will continue to be strategic and forward-thinking while continuing our focus on and deep commitment to communities where we live and work," Lawson said.

Corporate Counsel will recognize all honorees during an awards dinner at their upcoming conference this October.
