David Fruitman Speaks at GCR Connect Law Leaders Asia-Pacific Conference

On 26 and 27 September 2021, David Fruitman (Regional Competition Counsel & Senior Consultant) participated in the GCR Connect Conference ‘Law Leaders Asa-Pacific’.
This e-conference aimed to gather legal competition specialists from all around Asia to discuss a list of key topics currently impacting competition law with a focus on impacts of the digital economy and COVID-19.
David was a panelist on the session “Does digital need its own law?” The panel discussed the pros and cons of digital regulations, the importance of online customer data protection and customer protection laws. David shared his thoughts and expertise on the world’s current digital transformation, the new opportunities it brings and challenges it may cause to regulatory frameworks in the ASEAN region.
