Hanson Bridgett Partner Chosen for National Professional Achievement and Service Award

September 17, 2021 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP, a preeminent law firm for all of California, is pleased to announce that Shannon Nessier, a litigation partner, received the 2021 Richard H. Krochock Award.
Each year, DRI, the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel, selects individuals from its nationwide membership and names recipients for the organization's annual Professional Achievement and Service Awards.
"These awards identify peers who deserve recognition either for their professional contributions to, and achievements on behalf of, the defense bar and the civil justice system or their involvement in community and public service activities that have a positive impact on society at large," DRI shared in a press release.
The Richard H. Krochock Award is specifically given to a member of the organization who has:
- Provided exemplary leadership to the DRI Young Lawyers Committee through sponsorship or participation in its programs and activities;
- Who has provided guidance, support, and service as a mentor to the members of the YLC; and
- Who has promoted those qualities which enhance the image of the civil defense trial lawyer to the public.
Nominations for this award are made by the Young Lawyers Committee's Long Range Planning Committee and are narrowed down to three nominees. DRI's Executive Committee vets the top three nominees and selects a winner for each category.
"I am honored to receive this recognition from DRI, its Executive Committee, and the leadership of the Young Lawyers Committee, Nessier said. "Following in the footsteps of the amazing mentors, leaders, and advocates who have won before me is humbling. I feel lucky to have had phenomenal mentors and champions in my own career, and so paying it forward was important to me."
All award recipients will be honored at DRI's upcoming Annual Meeting.
