Consortium Legal – Guatemala appoints new partner in the Corporate Law practice area
Consortium Legal – Guatemala, as part of the growth and development it has in each of its areas of practice, announces the appointment of Ms. Ana Sofia Escribá Barnoya, as a partner in the Corporate Law practice area.
Sofía has more than 12 years of experience in corporate law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. She has extensive experience in negotiating contracts, shareholders’ agreements, and foreign investment. She is an expert in corporate governance and corporate reorganization. She has the distinction of being one of a few Guatemalan lawyers admitted to the New York Bar.
She is currently president of the Board of Directors of Transforma, the local chapter of Women in the Profession of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, and she promotes the firm’s internal gender equity projects.
Sofia has a master’s degree in International Law (LL.M.) from New York University. Recently, she was awarded with the Lexology Client Choice Award, recognizing her leadership and excellence, as well as her commitment to our clients by providing them with quality legal counseling. Likewise, the Who’s Who Legal directory included her in its recommended attorneys for the excellent reviews she receives from clients and colleagues.
