Heuking Successfully Advises HelloBetter on Series A Funding Round
Heuking Salaried Partner Christoph Prochnau and Katharina Waszczynski from Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Hamburg office comprehensively advised HelloBetter on its Series A funding round.
The investment volume of the Series A funding round amounts to EUR 6 million. The HelloBetter team attracted HealthCap, Expon Capital, and Sparrow Ventures as new investors. Hevella Capital, lead investor of the seed funding round, also joined the funding round.
HelloBetter aims will use the funds to strengthen its presence on the German market for digital health applications, to expand internationally, and to further invest in its technical platform.
As an innovation leader in e-mental health, HelloBetter offers its customers numerous and varied therapy programs, which have been developed and evaluated by interdisciplinary teams in many years of research work. No other provider worldwide has conducted a comparable number of clinical studies on the effectiveness of its online psychological therapy courses. Recently, the company’s HelloBetter Stress and Burnout product, winner in a test conducted by consumer review organization Stiftung Warentest, was listed as a digital health application by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. It can now be accessed by all individuals with health insurance on prescription. A team led by Christoph Prochnau also advises HelloBetter on an ongoing basis on issues relating to corporate law and employment law.
