Hanson Bridgett Partner Receives National Recognition

June, 2022 - San Francisco, California

June 13, 2022 (San Francisco, CA)Hanson Bridgett LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm serving all of California and beyond, is pleased to announce that Partner Brian Schnarr has been named as a Rising Star by Law360. Schnarr joined the firm in 2017 and made partner in 2018.

Law360's Rising Stars is a national award for attorneys under the age of 40 who excel in various industries. With more than 1,350 submissions received, the 2022 list of honorees hail from 96 law firms and span 36 practice areas. Winners were selected based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.

The Law360 article regarding Schnarr's selection highlights various cases and critical moments throughout his career. From navigating COVID-19 rules and protocols in one of the first Colorado federal court trials after the initial onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, to discovering rows of hidden data in a spreadsheet that ultimately turned the tables in his client's favor, it is clear how he earned a spot as a Law 360 Rising Star. In the article, Schnarr sums it up best. "When you're fighting for something that you truly believe in, you will work as hard as you have to, to make sure the result is the right result."

"I am honored to be listed alongside other outstanding peers in the profession from across the country," said Schnarr. "I believe in hard work and giving back and will continue to live those values as I grow in my legal career. My dedication to my clients is very personal to me. I provide counsel and strategy that is unique to each one."

Schnarr is a trial attorney who works on high-risk, large value matters in heavy civil and commercial construction, business and partnership disputes, failed acquisitions, fraud and concealment claims, and commercial real estate. In 2014, only four years after being admitted to the bar, Brian was awarded "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and by Public Justice for securing a record $1.15 billion judgment against manufacturers of lead-based paint, the largest public nuisance case in California history. Brian went on to prosecute other high-profile matters, including claims against Bernie Madoff, JP Morgan Chase, Micron Technologies, and AECOM. In the last five years, Brian has prosecuted over $350 million in claims to a jury or in front of an arbitrator.

In addition to his growing business fraud practice, Schnarr represents top ENR contractors, Fortune 500 businesses, and technology clients looking to disrupt the construction marketplace with modular and pre-fabricated strategies. He has been selected as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers from 2013 through 2022. He is also a “Recommended Lawyer” in The Legal 500.

Aside from his work, Schnarr is active in his volunteer and personal commitments: he currently serves on the Corte Madera Flood Board, is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL), the ABA Forum on Construction Law, and is a former member of the ABTL Leadership Development Committee. He actively supports the Tipping Point Community, a nonprofit committed to fighting poverty throughout the Bay Area.
