Shoosmiths real estate does the double at national awards
Shoosmiths’ real estate division and planning practice has been recognised for its pre-eminent work supporting clients across the property industry after taking home awards at two national ceremonies.
Shoosmiths was also shortlisted for the Climate Crisis Initiative at the Property Awards 2022 after developing a model to achieve nutrient neutrality on developments through innovative ‘off-site’ solutions. This work was also recognised as a key factor in its success at the Planning Awards 2022.
Commenting on Shoosmiths, the Property Awards 2022 judging panel said:
“This winner was a dynamic business that has certainly moved the dial and is putting people and clients front and centre.”
Included in Shoosmiths’ winning summary at the Planning Awards 2022:
“No other firm across the UK has been as heavily involved with the resolution of nitrates issues as Shoosmiths.”
Kirsten Hewson, partner and head of real estate at Shoosmiths, added:
“It’s an honour for Shoosmiths to take home these two awards – highlighting the strength and depth of our real estate division, but also the specialist expertise within our planning department.
"This wouldn’t be possible without the focus and determination of our team to support clients across the property industry and help deliver some of the UK’s most ambitious projects.
“The judges acknowledged this pre-eminent work and our team’s dynamism. Our experts are not only providing legal support, but finding solutions to industry-wide challenges, including creating a model for delivering nutrient neutrality.”
