Han Kun Partner Zaiguang Lu named one of ALB's China Top 15 Rising Lawyers 2020
On July 20, 2020, Asian Legal Business (ALB) released its annual list of China Top 15 Rising Lawyers. 15 ambitious young lawyers across China are spotlighted because of their potential to become the next power players in the legal industry. Their growing record of achievements, coupled with their expanding client portfolio, make a solid case for why they have what it takes to climb to the top. This year, Han Kun partner Zaiguang Lu has been named as one of the China Top 15 Rising Lawyers.
Mr. Lu focuses on venture capital and private equity financing, overseas listings and public offerings, foreign direct investment in high-tech fields, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Lu has represented a number of companies to complete IPOs in the United States and Hong Kong markets, has participated in a great number of complex equity and asset acquisition and merger deals, and has helped many companies to complete domestic and overseas investments and financing transactions. Mr. Lu assists clients in designing transaction structures, drafting transaction documents, participating in negotiations and handling Chinese law-related issues arising in the transactions. Mr. Lu mainly represents clients from industries including financial services, education, retail, transportation, TMT, medical and entertainment.
The China Top 15 Rising Lawyers were selected from hundreds of applications from law firms across China. The list was chosen based on the following criteria:

2. Important deals or cases;
3. Significant work in the last 12 months;
4. Clients the candidate has acted for;
5. Significant accolades the candidate has received for work in the form of public recognition, awards;
6. Clients' comments and colleagues' comments.
To be considered a Rising Lawyer, individuals need to either be under the age of 40 or have no more than 15 years of professional legal experience.
