Shoosmiths appoints Sheffield head of office

Law firm Shoosmiths has announced partner Tom Hall as head of office for Sheffield. 

Tom, a real estate specialist who joined Shoosmiths in 2017, spearheaded the firm’s efforts with fellow real estate partner Kellie Hatton to establish a presence in the city which has now expanded into a flourishing office based at City Estates’ Speedwell Works development in Sheffield’s cultural industries quarter.

Shoosmiths has operated in Sheffield since 2017, recently celebrating five years of significant growth and impressive client wins in the region and nationwide. The firm was particularly attracted to the city due to the high quality of legal talent in the area. The real estate team act on strategic land, development, occupier, local authority and investment real estate matters – with notable clients including Henry Boot PLC, Buccleuch Property, Taylor Wimpey PLC and Harworth Group PLC.

The Sheffield office has also seen recruitment and promotion in its real estate team, including the appointment of Stacy Dawes as an associate joining from Bolt Burdon. Holly Gerard has been promoted to senior associate.
