On July 12, 2022, Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced the finalists for its ALB China Regional Law Awards 2022: East China, which is open to "local" law firms headquartered in Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Shanghai ("East China"), and "non-local" law firms headquartered in other regions with branches/offices in East China. ■ Energy & Resources Deal of the Year: East China – Shenzhen Huiyang New Energy Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. and its four new energy companies' a RMB 1.44 billion refinancing project in connection with the photovoltaic power plants
■ M&A Deal of the Year: East China - J&T Express China's US$1.1 billion acquisition of the express delivery business of BEST Inc. (NYSE: BEST) in China
■ Young Lawyer of the Year: East China - Non-local – Stephen Dong
■ Woman Lawyer of the Year: East China - Non-local – Yin Ge
These prestigious awards pay tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners, in-house teams and law firms in the East China legal market, which covers five provinces and one municipality: Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Shanghai. They aim to recognize those exceptional accomplishments and efforts as a spur for more legal teams and practitioners to pursue and contribute professional excellence. This year's winners will be unveiled at an award ceremony held on August 19, 2022, in Shanghai.
