Han Kun partner Zhang Jian recognized as a Patent Rising Star at IFLR's Rising Stars Awards Asia-Pacific 2022

Recently, International Financial Law Review (IFLR) has announced the winners of its Rising Stars Awards Asia-Pacific 2022, recognizing rising stars from across a wide array of practice area specialisms throughout the region. Han Kun partner Zhang Jian was honored as a Patent Rising Star at the awards.
Ms. Zhang's practice focuses on IP-related legal services. She has extensive experience in patent invalidation, IP infringement litigation, administrative litigation, and licensing. She also provides legal opinions for a variety of matters including patent analysis, IP due diligence, and IP strategy design. She specializes in patent prosecution and dispute resolution in technical fields such as telecommunications, computers, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and signal processing. Ms. Zhang has represented many high-tech multinationals in complex patent disputes. She has the expertise to design practical strategies based on specific cases and to help clients to resolve disputes efficiently. Ms. Zhang is experienced in royalty-setting litigations, infringement litigations, and invalidations relating to standard essential patents (SEP) in telecommunications and has handled a number of influential cases in the field. She has also assisted clients in negotiating patent licenses for global patent portfolios in several projects. Before joining Han Kun Law Offices, Ms. Zhang practiced Chinese IP law for more than 14 years with a boutique IP law firm in China.
