Senior promotion within Carey Olsen's London dispute resolution practice
London based Tim advises on all aspects of commercial, insolvency and general banking litigation, having most recently advised an ad hoc group of bondholders in relation to the Cayman Islands Grand Court's sanctioning of the scheme of arrangement proposed by Luckin Coffee Inc. in the Chinese coffee chain's ongoing restructuring.
Tim has been with the firm since 2016, prior to which he trained and qualified at magic circle law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Sam Dawson, head of Carey Olsen's dispute resolution and insolvency and restructuring practice in the Cayman Islands said: "Our Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team is one of the largest in the Cayman Islands and has a fully-integrated wider team that encompasses Hong Kong, Singapore and London giving us significant global reach and the capability to resource big-ticket complex cross-border instructions. Tim is a great asset to our international practice and this promotion reflects his achievements in delivering specialist advice on multi-jurisdictional and contentious litigation matters."
Tim was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2013 and obtained Higher Rights of Audience in 2015. He was admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 2016.
Carey Olsen London managing partner Jasmine Amaria said: "Tim is an exceptional lawyer and highly regarded within our team. Developing talent has been a key focus of the London office and Tim's promotion is one of a series of internal promotions this year to exemplify that commitment. Congratulations to Tim on this milestone achievement."
