Carey Olsen named one of the best law firms in Singapore for second consecutive year

November, 2022 - Bermuda, Bermuda

The awards, which are in their third year, recognise 100 of the most highly regarded law firms in Singapore. The findings are based on more than 12,000 lawyer, colleague and client recommendations across 18 fields of law. These range from inheritance & succession to commercial and employment law. The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association also invited its members to take part in the survey.

Carey Olsen tops the International Offshore Law category following its five-star ranking for a 'superior' volume of recommendations from the survey respondents.

Carey Olsen Singapore managing partner Anthony McKenzie said: "We are honoured to once more be recognised by The Straits Times as one of the best law firms in Singapore. Their collaborative research with Statista for this award is based entirely on client and peer recommendation and so it is hugely rewarding to be considered so highly in our market. Our presence in Singapore began just six years ago, and we are elated to be the only offshore law firm to be listed in the international category."

Carey Olsen has continued to expand its Singapore team recently with two new hires, demonstrating the firm's commitment to investing in local talent in the region. Ryan Chong has joined Carey Olsen's dispute resolution practice as an associate and Azmil Wahab has been appointed in the corporate team as a paralegal.

Carey Olsen is the only Singapore based law firm which advises on Bermuda, BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law.

News of this accolade follows Carey Olsen Singapore's Tier 1 ranking for Caribbean expertise in foreign markets in The Legal 500 Caribbean. The firm is now the world's leading offshore law firm based on the consolidated rankings of the principal legal directories, The Legal 500 and Chambers.
