January, 2023 - Bermuda, Bermuda

Dilys Hung's practice focuses on the formation, operation and restructuring of investment funds, including private equity funds and hedge funds. Prior to joining Carey Olsen, she worked in Allen & Overy and another offshore law firm in Hong Kong. Dilys was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2021 and speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Steven Khong joins from a US law firm in London and brings experience in working with clients from mainland China as well as licensed fund managers regulated in the US, various European jurisdictions, Hong Kong and Singapore. His practice focuses on advising managers of private funds with respect to structuring and restructuring, formation, marketing, operation, and management activities with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Steven is a native Mandarin speaker, and is fluent in English, Cantonese, Japanese and Bahasa Malaysia.

Mike Padarin, managing partner for Carey Olsen Hong Kong, commented: "It is fantastic to see the speed at which our office is growing with these two new hires following recent promotions across our Hong Kong practice groups. I would like to warmly welcome both Dilys and Steven to the Carey Olsen team and look forward to seeing their career journey with us."

These new additions to the investment funds practice follow the recent announcement of the promotions of Eason Huang to counsel in the investment funds practice and Yi Yang's promotion to associate in the dispute resolution and litigation practice, demonstrating the continued growth of Carey Olsen in Hong Kong SAR.
