Buchalter Welcomes New Attorneys in San Francisco: Launches New Family Law Practice

Buchalter is pleased to announce the launch of its new Family Law Practice Group and welcomes three new attorneys to the Firm’s San Francisco office - Monica Mazzei joins as a Shareholder and Chair of the Family Law group, along with associate attorneys Emily Yip and Stephanie Huang.

As Chair of the Family Law group, Mazzei takes a modern approach to the practice of family law – addressing various needs for her clients related and unrelated to their family law case. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist representing high net worth clients throughout California, with a concentration in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles. She specializes in dissolution actions involving complicated valuation and financial matters, and complex community property and support issues, including international issues, dissolutions of marriage matters involving hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and privately held businesses. Mazzei also represents client in creating pre-marital agreements which reflect the goals of the individual couple.
Additionally, Mazzei is a frequent lecturer and speaker on family law matters to financial advisors, bar associations and other professional groups.

Yip focuses her family law practice on dissolution matters involving high net worth individuals and she prepares premarital, post marital and cohabitation agreements. Huang’s practice focuses on high asset dissolutions involving property division and support issues. Huang has been named as the 2022 Crystal Award Winner from the Family Law Project, and a “Northern California Rising Star” in 2022 and 2023.
