Bradley's Robert Maddox Elected Fellow of American College of Real Estate Lawyers

Bradley is pleased to announce that Robert Maddox, a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).

Founded in 1978, the ACREL is a national association of preeminent commercial real estate lawyers focused on service to clients, colleagues, and the profession. Admission is by invitation only after a rigorous screening process that demonstrates the member’s outstanding legal ability, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law.

Mr. Maddox serves as chair of Bradley’s Banking & Financial Services Practice Group and practices in financial services litigation with an emphasis on most facets of the commercial real estate and mortgage industry, including origination, warehouse lending, pooling and servicing agreements, loan repurchase disputes, investor disputes, secondary market representations and warranties, servicing matters, commercial mortgages, settlement services issues and mortgage fraud.

A frequent speaker at national real estate programs and financial services industry conferences, Mr. Maddox is a teacher with the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) as a Faculty Fellow on Real Estate Law and Regulatory Compliance at the School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB), Predatory Lending and Mortgage Fraud at the Regulatory Compliance Institute, and Servicing at the State and Local Litigation Conference. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University Alabama School of Law and University of Alabama at Birmingham, and he currently teaches real estate transfer, finance and development and consumer finance and protection at the Cumberland School of Law. Mr. Maddox is a Fellow of both the American College of Mortgage Attorneys and the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers.
