Buchalter persuades Court of Appeal to toss malicious prosecution lawsuit

A Buchalter team led by Tiffany Ng obtained complete victory when a California Court of Appeal ruled that Buchalter’s clients could not be sued for malicious prosecution and ordered the other side to pay Buchalter’s attorney fees. The saga started when the clients, having lost a previous lawsuit using a different law firm, contacted Tiffany to defend them against the ensuing malicious prosecution action. Tiffany and her team convinced the trial court and, now, the Court of Appeal that the malicious prosecution lawsuit was so weak that it failed as a matter of law. The clients are incredibly excited to be free from the liability risk posed by the lawsuit and beyond ecstatic that the other side will have to reimburse their legal fees.
