Bradley's Whitney J. Jackson Named to ABA Roles as Section News Contributing Editor and State Membership Chair

Bradley is pleased to announce that Whitney J. Jackson, an attorney in the firm’s Jackson office, has been selected to the editorial board as a contributing editor for Litigation News, a publication of the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Section. She has also been appointed to serve as an ABA state membership chair in Mississippi.

As a contributing editor for Litigation News, a monthly publication focused on legal trends across the country, Ms. Jackson is responsible for crafting quarterly articles that are informative and serve as a guiding voice to the readership of 30,000 section members. She will also attend editorial board meetings to discuss topics and bring a fresh perspective to the publication.

Ms. Jackson was also appointed to serve as a state membership chair by ABA President Deborah Enix-Ross. In this role, she will spearhead ABA membership growth and engagement in Mississippi, serving as the eyes and ears of the ABA throughout the state. Ms. Jackson will work to develop activities and approaches that fit the culture and needs of local attorneys while conveying the benefits and value of ABA membership.

Ms. Jackson focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment, and intellectual property matters. She graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law where she served as an associate articles editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and is a frequent contributor to the firm’s blogs, covering issues important to employers such as FMLA, EEOC, OFCCP and DOL matters. Ms. Jackson is an active member of the Magnolia and Mississippi bar associations as well as the American Bar Association.

The ABA is the largest voluntary association of lawyers in the world and works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law.
