Bradley is pleased to announce that Jackson office managing partner Margaret Oertling Cupples was recognized with the Amalie Fair Robinson Sustainer of the Year Award by the Junior League of Jackson (JLJ).

The annual award, named in honor of JLJ’s first president, recognizes the service of a sustaining member who has visibly made a difference in the community through her leadership and volunteerism. Ms. Cupples has been an active member of the organization for more than 15 years, serving as president and on the board of directors. She currently is chair of the JLJ’s Keystone Fund, which ensures that permanent funding exists to support the JLJ’s work. Outside of JLJ, Ms. Cupples has served on a number of nonprofit boards, including as board chair for the Mississippi Children’s Museum and the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi, as president of the Bar Association for the Fifth Federal Circuit, and as section chair for the Appellate Practice Section of The Mississippi Bar. She is currently president-elect for the Capital Area Bar Association.

“We congratulate Margaret on this well-deserved recognition for her years of leadership and service to the Junior League of Jackson,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan M. Skeeters. “Margaret is an integral part of our firm and continuously demonstrates her commitment to excellence both within the firm and through her work with exceptional organizations in the Jackson community.”

Ms. Cupples focuses her practice on civil appeals and commercial litigation. She has participated in dozens of appeals in Mississippi’s Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, and in the Fifth and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Her practice has been recognized in numerous industry publications, including The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation, and she frequently presents seminars on legal writing and serves as a mentor for younger attorneys.
