JEANTET ADVISES THE GIFI GROUP ON ITS ACQUISITION OF A MINORITY STAKE IN THE SHARE CAPITAL OF BRICOLEX

Paris, April 20, 2023 – Jeantet advised the Gifi group, specialized in the retail distribution of home decoration and bazaar products under the “GIFI” brand, on its acquisition of a minority stake, through its subsidiary Gifi Mag, in Le Chamois, specialized in the retail sale of do-it-yourself products under the “Bricolex” brand.
The Gifi group, controlled by Groupe Philippe Ginestet, is specialized in the retail distribution of home decoration and bazaar products, and operates a network of 600 stores under the “GIFI” brand, including around 40 abroad.
Le Chamois, which is wholly owned by Dallet, is specialized in the retail sale, under the “Bricolex” brand, of all hardware and drugstore items, goods and materials for the decoration, the maintenance of home interior and exterior, the garden, and pet items. It operates a network of 21 directly owned stores, all located in the Paris region.
The Corporate & Business and Expansion departments of the Gifi group which were involved in this transaction were composed of Guillaume Casal and Philippe Gaudu.
