Heuking advises Hamburg-based startup HYLI on its pre-seed funding round

A team led by Salaried Partner Christoph Prochnau from Heuking’s Hamburg office advised startup HYLI on its pre-seed funding round.
The Hamburg-based startup attracted well-known business angels from the Sales, HR, and Legal sectors. Talks with additional potential investors are set to be concluded in the next few months.
HYLI GmbH is an interactive platform for retirement planning, advance directives, and a self-determined end of life. The company offers digital living wills, individual funeral planning, health care powers of attorney, entrepreneurial powers of attorney, and care orders. All of these documents are available in digital form on smartphones, tablets or laptops for immediate use. Document creators may release the digital documents to their trusted third parties.
The bulk of the investment went into product development. The startup converted its platform into a functional beta version, including the connectivity to electronic signatures and the implementation of an extensive roles and rights system.
