Han Kun partner Jian Zhang named among IPR Daily's 50 IP lawyers under 50

Recently, IPR Daily announced its 2023 50 IP lawyers under 50 in China (U50), recognizing the top 50 IP lawyers under the age of 50. Han Kun partner Jian Zhang was named in the list.

Ms. Zhang's practice focuses on IP-related legal services. She has extensive experience in patent invalidation, IP infringement litigation, administrative litigation, and licensing. She also provides legal opinions for a variety of matters including patent analysis, IP due diligence, and IP strategy design. She specializes in patent prosecution and dispute resolution in technical fields such as telecommunications, computers, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and signal processing. Ms. Zhang has represented many high-tech multinationals in complex patent disputes. She has the expertise to design practical strategies based on specific cases and to help clients to resolve disputes efficiently. Ms. Zhang is experienced in royalty-setting litigations, infringement litigations, and invalidations relating to standard-essential patents (SEP) in telecommunications and has handled a number of influential cases in the field. She has also assisted clients in negotiating patent licenses for global patent portfolios in several projects. Before joining Han Kun Law Offices, Ms. Zhang practiced Chinese IP law for more than 14 years with a boutique IP law firm in China.

The 2023 50 IP lawyers under 50 in China ("U50") was jointly launched by IPR Daily, China Strategy Institute for Intellectual Property, and WeLegal. The list has attracted wide attention of the industry since its launch in February this year. After multiple procedures including the preliminary application evaluation, expert evaluation, and organizing committee's review, with comprehensive consideration of multi-dimensional indicators in mind, an expert panel finally chose a total of 48 elite intellectual property lawyers on the list. They are those who have promoted industry development, experienced many litigation disputes, defended justice, contributed to the protection of rights, and resolved problems in the name of innovation.
