Bradley’s Jera L. Bradshaw to Serve as Co-Chair of the Regional and Community Banks Subcommittee for the American Bar Association

Bradley is pleased to announce that Jera L. Bradshaw has been named co-chair of the Regional and Community Banks Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Banking Law Committee. She has been selected for a three-year term, which will become effective at the ABA’s Business Law Section’s Fall Meeting held September 7-9, 2023.

The ABA Banking Law Committee’s Regional and Community Banks Subcommittee is dedicated to identifying and analyzing all banking matters affecting regional, community and non-money center banks, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance matters related to regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management and corporate structure. Ms. Bradshaw will help coordinate substantive programming on topics affecting regional and community banks.

“Community and regional banks serve businesses and consumers throughout the country – it is an honor to serve in this role, and I look forward to focusing the subcommittee’s programming on the day-to-day issues these banks face,” said Ms. Bradshaw.

Ms. Bradshaw is counsel in Bradley’s Banking & Financial Services Practice Group, handling regulatory, transactional and niche cases within the banking industry. She regularly works with bank executive leadership to ensure they are maintaining compliance, providing strong strategic advice that is in the best interests of her clients. Ms. Bradshaw previously served as vice president and senior counsel of Regulatory Affairs for a large regional banking organization, giving her firsthand insight into the complex legal, regulatory and compliance matters facing U.S. institutions.

A graduate of the University of Memphis Law School, Ms. Bradshaw earned her B.A. from Rhodes College. She began her bank regulatory career as an attorney for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions and served as a senior attorney at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporate (FDIC) in the Dallas Regional Office for approximately eight years.
