Shoosmiths acts for the administrators of wilko

The corporate restructuring and advisory team at law firm Shoosmiths has been appointed by the administration of budget home and gardens retail chain group, Wilko Limited, Wilkinson Hardware Stores Limited and Wilko.com (together "wilko").
Administrators at PwC, Jane Steer, Zelf Hussain and Eddie Williams, called up experts at the firm to act following the failure of the retail giant to secure a rescue deal.
Head of Shoosmiths corporate restructuring and advisory team James Keates is leading the advice with support from partners Aaron Harlow and Lee Sennett.
Wilko, which has been trading as a family business for 93 years, has more than 400 stores across Britain and more than 12,000 employees.
Shoosmiths recently advised administrators from PwC on the sale of Cath Kidston to Next plc.
