Partner Muhammad Faridi Named to City & State's 2023 Law Power 100 List

Patterson Belknap Partner Muhammad Faridi was named to City & State's 2023 Law Power 100 List along with other "high-profile elected officials, powerful prosecutors, high-ranking appointees, partners at prominent firms, defense attorneys, public defenders, legal scholars and others in the profession who advise or oversee governmental bodies, advocate for policy changes or argue cases before our highest courts." The List recognizes 100 most influential legal professions in the world of New York politics and government.
Mr. Faridi was recognized for his work as a commercial litigator (including his role in the $2 billion verdict in a trade secret lawsuit and in the $1.84 billion settlement stemming from a lawsuit related to the 2008 financial crisis). Most recently, Mr. Faridi was the first Muslim appointed to serve as an independent civilian representative on New York Police Department's Handschu Committee, an oversight committee regulating police policies in investigating political activity.
