Two Carey Olsen lawyers sworn in as Guernsey advocates

As Guernsey advocates, Andrew and Stevie now have the right of audience in the Royal Court and the Guernsey court of Court of Appeal.

After qualifying as a solicitor in South Australia, Andrew Tually joined Carey Olsen in 2007 and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2009. Andrew has significant experience in the structuring, formation and regulation of Guernsey open and closed-ended collective investment schemes investing in private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds.

Stevie Balmer joined Carey Olsen in 2018 after qualifying as a solicitor and Notary Public in Scotland in 2016 having previously spent two years at the Judicial Institute for Scotland. He practices in the dispute resolution and litigation team, specialising in commercial litigation, trusts disputes and insolvency matters. Stevie advises on a wide-range of high-value commercial cases, in addition to contentious multi-jurisdictional litigations for domestic and international clients.
