Shoosmiths advises Harwood Private Equity on sale of Assisi Pet Care to Wind Point
Shoosmiths has advised Harwood Private Equity on the sale of UK pet food brand Assisi Pet Care Limited, to Chicago based Wind Point Partners (“Wind Point”).
Assisi, which was established in 2020 and is headquartered in Melton Mowbray, is a leading producer of premium and natural dog and cat foods and treats. It has successfully completed and integrated four acquisitions and operates out of both Poland and the UK selling into a number of European markets.
Wind Point, a long-time investor in the pet and animal nutrition industry, is partnering with Assisi management. Wind Points’ prior and current investments include Targeted PetCare, FoodScience, Petmate and Pestell Nutrition.
