Cortlin Bond Quoted in SHRM on Employer-Provided Accommodations for Pregnant and Nursing Employees
Bradley attorney Cortlin Bond was quoted in a SHRM article regarding a recent employee lawsuit about reasonable accommodations for pregnant and nursing workers.
Bond said employers should take into consideration the amount of time it takes for a person to walk to the lactation room. Two recent federal laws have been enacted after an employee’s lawsuit requesting accommodations.
"Some states have laws specifying a required length of time for lactation breaks that increase if the lactation room is not close to the employee's workspace," said Bond.
