Dinsmore Adds Powerhouse Partner Specializing in Comprehensive Health Care and Corporate Counseling

February, 2024 - Louisville, Kentucky

As Dinsmore & Shohl LLP strategically enhances its healthcare capabilities, the Firm is excited to welcome partner Laura Fryan whose experience in health care counseling and transactions, as well as corporate counseling, broadens the spectrum of services to clients.

After a decade of developing her practice, Laura sought out a firm where she could “take it to the next level,” and offer her clients a wide range of services.

Laura describes her practice as representing physician practice groups, hospitals and facilities. Over the past few years, Laura’s work has also evolved into representing nurses, nurse practitioners and other providers in establishing their own practices.

“My clients have immediate needs in immigration, securities and other ancillary practices that I did not previously have access to,” said Laura. “Just having a network of attorneys from coast to coast, I’m going to be able to serve my clients in a way that I was not able to serve them before.”

“We are very excited for Laura to join Dinsmore,” said Eric Plinke, co-chair of Dinsmore’s Health Care Industry practice group. “Many of us have known Laura for years and the reputation she has built. She is not only an excellent attorney but is an outstanding person that fits our culture and approach to client service. Laura’s collaborative style and experience representing hospitals and medical practices and other health care providers in transactional and regulatory matters will be invaluable to our expanding Health Law and Public Policy group.”

Laura is the President of the Board of Trustees at Pegasus Farm, an organization that uses horses to treat people with emotional, behavioral, developmental or physical challenges. Each year, they serve over 500 people.

She earned her J.D. after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law.
