Morgan & Morgan Legal advised Sojitz Corporation in the acquisition of the shares of Silaba Motors (also known as "Grupo Sílaba"), a major automobile distributor operating in the Republic of Panama representing brands such as KIA, MAZDA, OMODA, JAECOO, KARRY, and NIU. As part of the transaction, Sojitz also acquired Grupo Sílaba's subsidiaries, as well as a significant set of strategically located properties across the Republic of Panama.
Sojitz Corporation is a major Japanese conglomerate engaged in a wide range of businesses across various industries including automotive, infrastructure, healthcare, consumer goods, among others. Grupo Sílaba is a local leader in vehicle distribution, with over 30 years of history in Panama.
