Morgan & Morgan Legal advised Grupo Estrella in relation to a syndicated term loan financing granted by certain local banks.

Morgan & Morgan Legal acted as legal counsel to Grupo Estrella in relation to an acquisition finance whereby through a newly incorporated Panamanian special purpose vehicle and a United Kingdom special purpose vehicle they obtained financing from a syndicated term loan granted by certain local banks to then acquire 15% of a natural gas-based plant (381MW) and a liquified gas (GNL) terminal of a local infrastructure project related to the energy sector.
This cross-border transaction was complex giving the strict timing involved to get all documentation closed as disbursement of the financing had to occur in the second week of December and closing of the purchase of the equity by no later than December 21st.
