Bradley’s L. Justin Burney and Stephen M. Wilson Named to The Legal 500 2024 Private Practice Powerlist for U.S. M&A

Bradley is pleased to announce that partners L. Justin Burney and Stephen M. Wilson have been named to The Legal 500’s Private Practice 2024 M&A Powerlist: United States, which recognizes leading M&A practitioners across the U.S.

The Legal 500 research team compiled the M&A Powerlist: United States based on conversations with leading in-house counsel and M&A practitioners. Honorees in the 2024 list highlight the importance of having a multidisciplinary approach in a successful practice, given the intricate nature and complexity of M&A transactions. Mr. Burney, a partner in the firm’s Huntsville office, is one of only six M&A lawyers in Alabama included in the M&A Powerlist: United States in 2024. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group and focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, securities offerings, and other transactions. Additionally, he serves as outside corporate counsel to several clients, providing advice on corporate governance matters, compensation arrangements, regulatory issues and contractual relationships. Mr. Burney’s transactional experience involves stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers and complex joint venture transactions, including transactions involving rollover equity and other non-cash consideration, across a broad range of industry sectors, including federal government contracting, construction, engineering services, agriculture, biotechnology, real estate, and food and beverage businesses.

Mr. Wilson, a partner in Bradley’s Jackson office, is one of only three M&A lawyers in Mississippi featured in the 2024 M&A Powerlist: United States. He has represented various companies and their shareholders involved in more than 100 separate business acquisitions, working with them from the initial stages of negotiations through the letter of intent and the negotiation and execution of the definitive agreements and transfer of funds to post-closing issues. Mr. Wilson advises clients in multiple industries, including steel manufacturing, construction, agriculture research, distribution and technology , telecommunications, and automotive manufacturing supply and energy industries on joint venture and strategic alliance issues and negotiations.
