Bradley is pleased to announce that Christopher A. Bowles, a partner in the firm’s Nashville office, has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).

Founded in 1978, ACREL is a national association of preeminent commercial real estate lawyers focused on service to clients, colleagues, and the profession. Admission is by invitation only after a rigorous screening process that demonstrates the member’s outstanding legal ability, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law.

Mr. Bowles is an energy and economic development attorney who co-chairs Bradley’s Solar Energy team. He has an interdisciplinary practice advising clients on the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on renewable energy sources. Mr. Bowles helps clients negotiate contracts and manage risk in each stage of a project’s development, including the real estate, tax and regulatory aspects of development and project finance.

Mr. Bowles serves as a board member of the Tennessee Solar Energy Industries Association, where he has led efforts to reform solar energy siting and tax policy in Tennessee. He previously served as Nashville’s first-ever director of Environment and Sustainability for Mayor Karl Dean’s administration. Mr. Bowles advised the mayor on a range of environmental issues and oversaw several mayoral initiatives, including the design and successful launch of the mayor’s residential energy efficiency program, Nashville Energy Works, and the creation of Nashville’s first Open Space Master Plan in partnership with the Land Trust for Tennessee.
