Shoosmiths advises tech duo on major acquisition

Law firm Shoosmiths has advised leading technology industry experts Amir Nooriala and Daniel Cardenas-Clark and their search fund Aurias on the acquisition of IT security services provider – Saepio Information Security (Saepio). 

Alongside the acquisition, the duo will take on the new role of co-CEOs as the technology firm looks to increase its international presence and awareness, reduce its risk and improve its security against a backdrop of an evolving cyber threat landscape.

This latest transaction further cements Shoosmiths’ deep-rooted knowledge in the technology sector which is a key focus of the firm. Across its corporate division, Shoosmiths’ team has bolstered its market leading credentials and reputation for excellence in the mid-market, advising on upwards of 400 transactions a year. 

The firm’s deal team was led by corporate partner Alistair Hammerton, with support from legal director Georgina Rennie, principal associate Charlotte Cannell, senior associate Jordan Hollingsworth, associate Sharon Nicholls and associate Hugh White. Banking advice was provided by partner Ali Triptree, principal associate Sophie Tyler and trainee Niamh Jones alongside tax advice from principal associate Caroline Airey.
