A team from law firm HEUKING, led by Dr. Pär Johansson, advised Education partners GmbH, a portfolio company of Odewald KMU II, on its acquisition of Developer Akademie GmbH.
Based in Munich, Developer Akademie GmbH is a leading IT training provider in German-speaking countries. Since its establishment in 2020, the company has grown significantly and is now one of the largest providers of online training for both career changers and IT specialists.
Odewald KMU II fund, with a volume of EUR 200 million, invests in SMEs in attractive target markets in the German-speaking region. It focuses on companies in the fields of “German engineering,” intelligent services, healthcare, and software/IT. The portfolio includes Education partners group in the field of training academies. The acquisition of Developer Akademie GmbH has enabled Education partners group to significantly expand its range of services and secure a leading market position in the attractive market for continuing professional development.
