Han Kun partner Xiayi Liu recognized among CLECSS Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers for 2024
Today, CLECSS announced Han Kun partner Xiayi (Clara) Liu has been named as one of the CLECSS Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers for 2024.
Xiayi (Clara) Liu began her legal career in 2010 and is a partner at Han Kun. She focuses her practice on venture capital and private equity transactions, outbound investment, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets, among other areas. Ms. Liu has represented comprehensive and diverse clients covering many investment funds and well-known companies as well as start-ups. She has accumulated rich experience in assisting clients to complete numerous complex transactions in many industries, including internet, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, insurance, consumer goods, and energy.
Ms. Liu graduated from China University of Political Science and Law with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree. She also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree with Honors from Columbia Law School, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.
CLECSS developed the 9th Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers list this year after a months-long selection process in which candidates were carefully evaluated in terms of their educational background, areas of expertise, location of practice, and gender, among other considerations. Most of these 12 outstanding talents named in the final list, including Ms. Liu, are from PRC firms, and one works for an international firm. The 12 winners are standout lawyers practicing in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong who continue to pursue professional excellence while serving as generous contributors to the legal industry.
