Six Bradley Attorneys Named to 2023 North Carolina Attorney Pro Bono Honor Society

July, 2024 - Birmingham, Alabama

Bradley is pleased to announce that six attorneys have been inducted into the 2023 North Carolina Attorney Pro Bono Honor Society. Kortni Hadley, Najla Long, Dana Lumsden, Ashley Robinson, Nathan Viebrock and Kimberly Easter Zirkle were each recognized for reporting more than 50 hours of pro bono legal services in 2023 to North Carolina residents who are unable to afford legal support.

The North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society is administered by the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center (PBRC), which launched in 2016 as a program of the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission. The PBRC supports legal professionals in delivering pro bono legal services to North Carolina’s underserved. The 2023 cohort is composed of 1,373 attorneys. The full list of 2023 inductees can be found here.

Bradley attorneys in the Charlotte office regularly volunteer their time to pro bono work, including working with Safe Alliance, which assists victims of domestic violence with orders of protection, and with the Wilson Center for Science and Justice at Duke Law, which helps in preparing petitions for clemency before the Juvenile Justice Review Board. The office also supports the Second Harvest Food Bank, Council for Children’s Rights, Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, Habitat for Humanity, and Patriot Military Family Foundation, among many others.

Bradley’s Pro Bono Program helps address unmet legal needs of indigent individuals and charitable institutions. Attorneys across the firm’s offices invest significant time in pro bono work, handling matters ranging from death penalty and human rights cases to intellectual property work for low-income inventors, artists and entertainers.
