Han Kun is pleased to announce that Mr. Leong Chuo Ming, has on 1st August 2024 joined Han Kun's Singapore office as a partner, together with his team consisting of Ms. Low Shan You, Ms. Chow Su Rin, and Ms. Lanabel Teo.

Before joining Han Kun, Mr. Leong was a partner in Withers KhattarWong LLP’s corporate practice. His work covers a wide range of corporate transactions, with particular focus on M&A, equity capital markets, financial services regulation, and funds.

Mr. Leong's M&A experience includes acting both listed and private entities on various cross-border corporate acquisitions and disposals matters, as well as investments and fund raisings via subscription of equity and convertible securities. Mr. Leong and his team also have extensive experience and expertise in financial services regulation, having advised clients on licensing requirements and regulations under the Securities and Futures Act, the Financial Advisers Act, and the Payment Services Act, and assisted clients with capital markets services and major payment institution license applications. Mr. Leong's capital markets experience includes representing several public listed companies in various transactions, such as IPOs, take-over offers, rights and warrant issues, private and public placements, and other fundraising transactions. Mr. Leong also works with venture capital funds, private investors, and both established and emerging tech companies. He has particular experience in Fintech and has a firm grasp on the existing and changing regulatory framework surrounding this area of rapid growth and development. Mr. Leong also acts for a range of clients in the funds space, including fund management license applications, structuring and setting up of funds (including the recently introduced variable capital company (VCC) structures), and funds' M&A activity.

Mr. Leong is a member of the Singapore Bar and the Malaysian Bar.  His working language includes Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
