Henry J. Ricardo Selected as SDNY Magistrate Judge

We are pleased to congratulate our partner Henry J. Ricardo on his selection to serve as a Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Ricardo had been a partner in the firm’s Litigation department for the past 12 years. Focused on financial services litigation, he was a key member of the firm’s Structured Finance Litigation team and also handled a variety of other litigation matters. He maintained an active pro bono practice and led the firm’s participation in Legal Outreach’s College Bound Summer Internship Program for more than a decade. Mr. Ricardo is a past recipient of the Distinguished Latino Alumni Award from the Latino Law Students Association at Columbia Law School and, in 2024, was recognized as a member of the International Refugee Assistance Project's Excellent Litigation Team.
Mr. Ricardo’s selection continues the long tradition of public service by Patterson Belknap attorneys, and we wish him well as he takes his seat on this distinguished Bench.
