Han Kun powers UNIS's acquisition of increased stake in H3C

On September 5, 2024, Unisplendour Corporation Limited (UNIS) announced the completion of its acquisition of a 30% stake in H3C Technologies Co., Limited (H3C), with a total acquisition price of approximately US$2.14 billion. Following the completion of this transaction, UNIS's shareholding in H3C, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Unisplendour International Technology Limited, increased from 51% to 81%. UNIS had previously stated that this transaction is advantageous for further strengthening its digital economy industry layout, leveraging synergies, and enhancing core competitiveness. The transaction also reflects the trend of Chinese technology companies increasingly boosting their market influence in global competition.
H3C is a joint venture between UNIS and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE). It is a leading digital solutions provider in China, with core businesses covering cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, industrial internet, and other areas. H3C possesses comprehensive digital infrastructure capabilities, including computing, storage, networking, 5G, and security, and operates across multiple overseas jurisdictions.
