Shoosmiths bolsters its Property Litigation offering with new partner Richard Cressall

Shoosmiths is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Cressall as partner in the Property Litigation team in Leeds. Richard will play a key role in strengthening Shoosmiths’ premier occupier client offering.
At Shoosmiths, Richard will further enhance the Property Litigation team’s strong market position as he brings with him extensive experience in advising household names in the retail, development, and investment sectors. With a practice comprised of 37 legal advisers, including eight partners, the firm has one of the largest multi-disciplinary real estate litigation practices in the UK, bringing market-leading insight to any transaction or dispute. The team works with some of the nation’s best-known brands to deliver real estate solutions in support of their core businesses.
The addition of Richard builds on the team’s continued growth, with Lucy Walsh also recently joining as a legal director in Shoosmiths’ Manchester office from Knights. Lucy is an experienced litigator specialising in long leasehold and enfranchisement matters and her practice includes acting for developers and investors with residential leasehold portfolios, both of which are growth areas for the national property litigation team, and together with Richard’s appointment demonstrates that Shoosmiths can support real estate clients in all fields with their property litigation queries.
