ALRUD's New Office: The Law Firm Moves to the White Gardens Business Complex
ALRUD, one of Russia's leading law firms, started operations in its new office at the White Gardens business center on Lesnaya Street as of September 1. After 26 years in its previous office on Skakovaya Street, the company has now relocated to a new space.
ALRUD has consistently grown throughout its 33-year history. Today, its legal team is one of the largest and most experienced in Russia, with a deep understanding of both the Russian and international markets. During the years at Skakovaya, ALRUD’s team expanded so much that the office could no longer accommodate everyone. Even in the new location on Lesnaya Street, the firm needed to occupy two floors. Moreover, ALRUD sought a space that not only met their size requirements but also aligned with their ambitions and reputation.
“At a certain point, we realized our business had reached a stage of maturity and simultaneously a new phase of growth. Our team is expanding, our expertise is broadening, and we are developing very actively. The new office, this change of workspace, is not only an organizational necessity but also a symbolic step. We feel that the experience, ambitions, and reputation ALRUD has built over more than 30 years of successful work now deserve a new setting,” said Vassily Rudomino, Senior Partner at ALRUD.
The office search process took nearly six months, with another seven months for relocation preparations. The firm considered over 15 potential locations, conducted dozens of site visits, and held eight rounds of commercial negotiations. Ultimately, the team chose the White Gardens business district. Moving to Lesnaya, an area concentrated with consultants, was a logical start to the next stage of ALRUD’s development.
“There is a unique business atmosphere on Belaya Square and Lesnaya Street, and we are delighted to now be part of it. This is thanks to the entire ALRUD team: we carefully selected the new space, thoroughly prepared for the move, finalized a 90-page lease agreement, and held five rounds of legal negotiations with the property owners. Our new workspace balances employee comfort — with adjustable, ergonomic workstations — with confidentiality. Clear zoning ensures we can manage projects that require discretion,” said Maxim Alekseyev, Senior Partner at ALRUD.
The new ALRUD office space features a modern design and follows the latest Agile trends. The interior draws on the philosophy and principles of Bauhaus, with furniture and décor that make stylistic references to the movement. Ribbed glass, large wooden furniture pieces symbolizing stability and experience, and Art Nouveau elements that represent modernity and technology were used in the office setup. Workstations are meticulously designed, with multiple monitors, ergonomic chairs, and electrically adjustable desks for those who prefer to work standing. There are dedicated rooms for confidential calls, project rooms, copy rooms, and a cozy in-house library.
The new office also offers a comfortable space for clients, divided into meeting rooms that can be transformed into a single large space for bigger events. ALRUD takes special pride in its own collection of art pieces displayed throughout the office, harmonizing with the interior. A custom-made art object, symbolizing stability and reliability, was commissioned for the reception area from renowned artist and sculptor Maria Kulagina. The firm’s connection to art is further emphasized by the meeting rooms, which ALRUD has named after great artists, poets, and writers with ties to the legal profession.
“This office move marks a new life cycle for the firm. It was crucial for us to find a space that aligns with modern expectations of comfort for our clients and employees, while also maintaining continuity and reflecting our long-standing history. The search and preparation process took more than a year, and we’re thrilled to have found a space that mirrors our values and is still located in the heart of Moscow’s business life. We’ve also long dreamed of a beautiful, cozy terrace—now we have one, available for both employees and clients!” said Marina Chirkova , HR Director at ALRUD.
ALRUD’s new office is located in the White Gardens business center at 7 Lesnaya Street, occupying two floors with a total area of 2,500 square meters.
