Szecskay Attorneys at Law proudly announces that Dr. Katalin Grósz, Senior Partner, and Dr. János Vajda, Partner at the firm, have been awarded by the Hungarian Bar Association for their extraordinary work in the legal profession.

During the awards ceremony on 16 November 2024, Grósz received a lifetime achievement recognition as “Eminent Lawyer” which is deserved for her outstanding legal work.” She is an expert across the legal areas connected to the energy industry, including energy law, commercial law, competition law, real estate law, mergers and acquisitions, and environment protection law. In addition, she deals with financing and restructuring issues concerning real estate investments and is an experienced legal representative in both litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Vajda, specialized in competition law, banking and capital markets and litigation law, was presented with the “Legal Culture Award” for his work in legal psychology. In 2023 Vajda published a highly successful book with the title “Only in the presence of my lawyer psychologist.” Since the publication of his book, Vajda has been a regular guest on TV and radio shows and at legal conferences promoting and educating about the influence of psychological mechanisms on legal work.

Both awards are given annually to individuals who enhance the reputation of the legal profession and enrich its culture by exemplifying a high professional level, far-reaching dedication, and commitment to law in society.
