Brian Hayles Quoted in Law360 on North Carolina Cases to Watch in 2025

Bradley attorney Brian Hayles was quoted in Law360 on notable cases in North Carolina to watch for in 2025.
One of the cases Hayles highlighted is Racing LLC et al. v. National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Hayles explained that “the outcome of the antitrust claims against NASCAR will be interesting no matter how the case shakes out because of the size of the racing entity's business and its history of acquiring smaller outfits.”
“While there is precedent for setting aside anticompetitive acquisitions after the fact, that is probably not a practical solution here, so there may not be transformational structural relief in the offing,” Hayles said.
“More likely, the court could require NASCAR to do away with some of its allegedly exclusionary contractual practices to loosen the restraints imposed on race teams and other NASCAR partners. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the coming year.”
