IP Litigator Kathryn Bi Joins Patterson Belknap as Partner
Ms. Bi’s arrival enhances bench strength of firm’s Patent Litigation Practice
Patterson Belknap is pleased to announce that Kathryn Bi has joined the firm as a Partner in its Litigation department and as a member of the Patent Litigation practice. Ms. Bi helps clients resolve their toughest intellectual property and commercial cases, focusing her practice on complex technology disputes. She has successfully represented tech companies in numerous high-stakes patent cases.
Ms. Bi has extensive experience in all aspects of patent litigation. She has represented both defendants and plaintiffs in five trials over the past four years, presenting and cross-examining both expert and fact witnesses and arguing critical motions. She has also secured early, dispositive victories that allowed clients to avoid trial. Her technical experience spans a wide range of industries, including computer hardware, software, telecommunications, video streaming, medical devices, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and biologics.

Ms. Bi earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School and her B.E. in chemical engineering from Dartmouth College. She clerked for the Honorable Leonard P. Stark in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
