Bradley Attorneys Bruce Ely and Jimmy Long Commemorate 10th Anniversary of Alabama Taxpayer Bill of Rights

Bradley attorneys Bruce Ely and Jimmy Long attended the Alabama State Bar Tax Section's annual meeting to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passage of the Alabama Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TBOR). The TBOR was a decade-long effort led by Ely, Justice Will Sellers and Hank Hutchison. The legislation, which Ely and Long co-authored, allows taxpayers to appeal Alabama Department of Revenue and most city/county tax assessments without paying disputed amounts or posting a bond.
