Bradley Attorney Brett Lawrence Appointed IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair

Bradley is pleased to announce that Brett Lawrence, an attorney in the firm’s Charlotte office, has been appointed chair of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) KnowledgeNet Charlotte Chapter.

The IAPP’s KnowledgeNet Chapters bring local privacy communities together through educational meetings and networking activities. Various factors were considered when selecting chapter chairs, including meeting attendance, leadership roles, and IAPP certifications, among others. During his two-year term, Mr. Lawrence will organize events, guide and engage with other chapter volunteers and members, and serve as an advocate for the IAPP in Charlotte.

Mr. Lawrence is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has considerable experience assisting clients with compliance needs, including the CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, FERPA, HIPAA, COPPA, and other state and federal privacy laws. He helps clients with data privacy, cybersecurity issues, mortgage servicing, insurance coverage, and other general and professional liability matters. Mr. Lawrence’s practice also encompasses a variety of software and technology transactions, including Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, master services agreements, as well as negotiating and drafting non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), US- and EU-specific DPAs, service and subcontracting agreements, and software reseller agreements.
